This document could be useful as an introduction to the topic of simulation. The theory of the main example is explained here, and there are many other classic references of this type. More detail (probably much more than we are going to examine in this course) about system dynamics is an online tutorial about how to introduce topics in high school, including the use of a tool called STELLA (the simulator).
