Statistics for Network Experiments
Posted 19 Oct 2004 by herman
An important activity in networking is gathering statistics about the
network.
Here are some resources for lectures on the topic.
 The lecture notes on probability distributions are
in distribs.pdf, but for some reason the
loglog graph of the Zipf distribution doesn't properly
appear; it's not too important, but if you want to see
it, here is a postscript version: distribs.ps.
 Lecture nodes on statistics are here:
statistics.pdf.
 There are many sources for tables of confidence levels;
for instance, here is a table I copied from an online
source: tdist.txt.
Here are the notes for the part of the lecture
covering coin toss experiments: coins.pdf,
coins.py, coins2.py.
